Model Reviews

If you compare two copiers that print at the same speed, you’ll find that they can still create very different experiences for your office. One might handle your scanning workload better, while the other includes a document tool you would otherwise pay extra to add.

The Xerox AltaLink C8230 and Ricoh IM C3010 are good examples of this. Both are color multifunction printers that print up to 30 pages per minute, but their scanning capabilities, included features, and management tools deserve a closer look.

At Strategic Technology Partners of Texas (STPT), we bring 40 years of experience helping businesses evaluate office printing needs. We are a Xerox Platinum Partner, so Xerox is our area of expertise. This comparison uses public manufacturer information to explain where each model may fit your business.

Smaller offices often have to choose between a basic desktop printer that may not handle shared workloads and a full-size copier that may be overkill.

The Xerox C305ae is designed to sit between those two ends of the spectrum. It brings color printing, copying, scanning, and faxing into a compact A4 device, along with a touchscreen, wireless connectivity, and workflow tools intended to simplify everyday document tasks.

We have spent more than 40 years helping organizations evaluate and manage Xerox equipment. That experience has taught us to look beyond a feature list and consider how a printer will function in a real workplace. This review covers the C305ae’s specifications, features, drawbacks, cost, and ideal users.

A small office printer is nice until your print volume grows and it starts to produce slow output or requires constant paper refills. Frequent printing demands more than a basic personal device.

The Xerox C300 fills that middle ground. It’s a single-function A4 color printer for small and midsized teams that need faster output, flexible connectivity, and professional color. It does not copy or scan, which limits who will benefit from it.

As a Xerox partner with more than 40 years of office equipment experience, we know that specifications only matter when they match the workplace. This review covers the C300’s features, drawbacks, cost, and ideal users.

Choosing an office printer can get frustrating once you start comparing models. One printer may have the speed you need but cost more to operate, while another may be affordable but struggle to keep up with your monthly workload.

In this guide, we'll compare five of the best printers for small and medium-sized offices in 2026, explain who each model is best for, and cover the features you should consider before making a decision.

What Is the Best Printer for a Small or Medium-Sized Office in 2026?

When an office starts printing more, its printers often can’t keep pace. This is when organizations start looking for something that offers more performance without being a full-blown high-end production device.

The Lexmark CX952se is designed to fill that gap.

Positioned in the middle of Xerox-Lexmark's new 9-Series lineup, the CX952se offers faster print speeds than entry-level A3 models. It also offers simple operation, enterprise security, flexible media handling, and workflow automation. It's built for organizations that want a powerful printer that's still easy to use and maintain.

As a Xerox and now Lexmark partner with nearly 40 years of experience, our goal is to provide an objective review that helps you decide whether this printer is the right fit for your organization.
